Lighthouse amateur radio this weekend

    This was on our newswire this morning;

    "The Limerick Radio Club is planning to broadcast for 48 hours from the West Clare Lighthouse this evening.

    It's part of a worldwide event to highlight the importance of lighthouses and lightships.

    400 lighthouses are taking part, including five from Ireland, and they'll be going from sea to air at around 23 minutes past 8 Irish time."

    Hadn't heard about it but there's more info on the club's website here. I may crank up the AM receiver tonight.
