    Hi All

    Drogheda's Makerspace is holding a Retro Game and Computing Event next Saturday 25th August from 2PM-6PM. Detail's below and at Lightboxlab Retro Event

    For those not sure what a Makerspace is, it's a location where people with common interests, often in computers, technology, science, digital or electronic art (but also in many other realms) can meet, socialise and/or collaborate.

    We will also be holding an open discussion on membership and our ultimate goal of securing a workshop so we have a permanent location to work on non-profit projects, hold workshops, tutorials and have a bit of fun. This is more open to an adult audience at present as we are in our infancy and not geared up for a wider audience yet. For the younger audience check out Drogheda CoderDojo Anyone who wishes to take part or pop up and have a look please contact any of the below contacts.


    Details of the Event
    The Retro Game and Computing Event will take place in #Lightboxlab at Millmount on 25th August from 2 PM to 6PM. There will be a nominal contribution of around €5 to cover rental of the Incubation Centre on the day. There has been good interest in this and we hope to have a good selection of Retro PC's and Consoles on the day. Please contact info@lightboxlab.ie, our Google Group, @droghackspace or @itsweb if you are interested in attending or have an old device you'd like to show off. If anyone has an old casette player with a 5 Pin Din socket (Told you this was Retro!) can they contact me if possible?
