Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wow, that tackle from Scholes. Dangerous

    That was a red.

Scholes with the usual filty tackle that gets passed over as a "silly" tackle.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,783 ✭✭✭Pj!

Going to be a tough game. Even when RVP gets on he'll get no room.

    Two yellows already won't help.

Scholes.... seriously.... Also worried about lack of pace at centre back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,211 ✭✭✭Owen_S

You know the football is truly back when Scholes is booked for an atrocious tackle.

    Got-damn it!

So far United's lack of a midfield is pretty obvious.

    Love Scholes :D

Cause he goes in with a dangerous potential leg breaking tackle? What a legend.

He always takes a few games to get match fit.

He said recently that it is a priority of his to do next time he retires.

Was very dangerous. Would it be overboard had he injured the player badly?

    It's not overboard at all.

He gets a small percentage of red cards for the amount of X rated tackles he makes.

He's got a dirty streak in him.

    That was a red card.

Good game so far. Everton up for it.

Paul Scholes one of the best passers in the Premier League but also one of the worst tacklers :D

Any tackle can injure a player badly, it looked a lot worse than it was. Very bad tackle, yellow card, move on.

Now that was dirty from Fellaini. Leading with the elbow is a recipe for disaster.

Oh if only Gerrard made one of those "silly mistimed tackles" on a United player. Ridiculous that people still say he just mistimes them, he's filthy and gets away with it largely because of Andy Grays old reaction to them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,981 ✭✭✭doc_17

Should have been a free kick but DDG should have got up again as the play was continuing!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,211 ✭✭✭Owen_S

Fellaini's elbow has been invisible to refs for years now. Himself and Cahill were regularly elbowing players in the head, but refs always turned a blind eye.

    Fellaini is a beast.

    That is all.

Gerrard plays for Liverpool which has nothing to do with United at least for a few months. Scholes went in late, low from behind and I'd say no player in the league would be sent off for the same tackle. Huge overreaction in here.
