Banks on franchise lending?

    What are people's thought's on banks when it come's to lending for a franchise venture, say a franchise is 20k how much are the willing to lend?

    Ulster Bank used to have an agreement with some franchises where they will have approved their business model and will lend to any potential franchisee. Not sure whether this is still the case.

    The fact that franchises have a higher success rate than plain start-ups should go in your favour - if the franchise is an established one.

    No idea of the percentage I'm afraid but the more you invest, the more likely they will lend.
