Broadband for someone with free phone rental

    My mother has free phone rental as she is a pensioner.

    What options are available to her is she wants to get BB - her usage would be very light

    All you need do to get broadband with eircom is apply online, or call into Broadband Sales directly. Your mother will be entitled to reduced cost of the phoneline rental on the broadband bundle she signs up for:

    So for example :

    If you chose : Basic Broadband and Home Phone Bundle:

    €40 per month - minus line rental (€25.40) - first 6 months
    €45.00 per month thereafter - minus line rental (€25.40)

    This will include :
    Broadband
    Up to 8Mb uncongested download speed
    10GB usage allowance
    FREE wireless modem
    Up to Mb Download
    10GB Usage
    *Unlimited Off-Peak Local and National landline calls
    Package includes monthly line rental
    30 Off-Peak minutes to any Irish mobile operator

    Hi josh59,

    We don't have a specific bundle aimed at international calls any more. What he have instead is an add-on which gives some free minutes abroad on top of the current package. The international add-on costs an extra €7.50 per month and gives 120 anytime minutes certain international landlines numbers. Once the minutes are used up you would still have calls to landlines in the UK, USA & Canada for 10c per minute and UK mobiles at 15c per minute. The list of countries included with the add-on is:Great Britain, Isle of Man and Channel Islands, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy (inc Vatican City), Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, U.S.A., Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Greenland, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Faroe Islands, Christmas Island, Hong Kong, Japan (Including Ryukyu Island), Malaysia, Singapore. You can view the package on www.eircom.net by clicking 'products for home', then 'home phone' and the add-ons are listed at the bottom of that page. You can order this by calling 1901 and choose the 'service enquiry' option.
