    Some more to ad:

    - Cut the dole for those, who refuse a job with no reason
    - Jobs in the community for people on the dole, like cleaning school yards from snow and ice in the winter
    - Merge the jobseeker's section of the dole office with FAS (makes it easier to find out who is willing to take a job)

Ban any association of glass with alcohol - a deadly combination that for some bizarre reason no one has legislated against.

    Silly world........

Anybody who bought a house since 2006 has the option to hand back the keys with the house being handed to someone homeless.

The person then gets to obtain another mortgage at today's rates.

They sell beer in plastic bottles in Germany and it's horrible.

But you get 30 cent if you bring the empty bottle or can back to the shop, some kind of recycling scheme, they have.

    They'll be here soon enough.

I'd like to see some laws on white collar crime introduced.

Sick of seeing people in golden circles giving the rest of us the 2 fingers while we struggle to make ends meet.

In after the "I don't agree with personal habits which don't affect me, so ban it" brigade.

Immediately introduce a property tax/household charge.

Otherwise what would Donalg1, Alastair, Ghandee, Gerryo777 and Tayto Lover do to keep occupied.

+1 for limit on personal wealth
At the heart of this is probably the stock market, distribution of profits and tax breaks. So a unified worldwide tax system would have to be put in place.

Anyone receiving the dole should work for the community, cleaning estates etc.

Actually, maybe everyone should be forced to engage in community activities at least once a month... cleaning, teaching, co-operative activities, a sort of bartering of skills to get people engaging with their community.

Bring back Gardai on the beat around communities, clipping the ears of kids/teenagers who step out of line.

Corporal punishment for minor offenses, bring back fear of the justice system.

3 strike rule for criminal offenses then off to jail

Death penalty for any drug dealing/trafficking.

thirdly you cannot be a TD if one of your parents were a TD 10 years or less previously.

    Financial Auditors need to audit.

I would introduce a law that Canada has, all news and documentaries have to be honest and accurately factual.
No lies could be broadcast - and that would be law!
We're not too bad here as such - but it would act as a precaution to keeping the likes of America garbage Fox news and its very one sided, lying twisting outputs, off our screens.
(They (and others similar) are subsequently banned in the Canada - they tried to have the revoke the law but were told where to go!)

Knowing that internet speeds up and down dip, I'd make it that net service providers give at least a bare minimum speed guarantee stated in their adverts, etc.
So far, most of them have been taking the piss with their advertising!

That is impossible because unpredictable factors such as weather and humidity affect the maximum achievable broadband speed.
Using the term 'up to XXMb/sec' is fine. There are limitations to wireless technology and passing a law won't change that.

You could allow for natural factors occasionally - but a very bare minimum otherwise, should be stated as basic speed expected by a customer.
Given that companies KNOW there are certain interfering factors, allow for them, their tech should of minimum capable standard in most times to at least produce a basic quantifiable speed.

The current law as it stands, is just allowing the piss to be taken out of the public with no recourse whatsoever!

A 'life sentence' means life. Prison's should be run like prison's - not hotels. I like this guys setup:

    http://tizona.wordpress.com/2008/05/13/you-all-remember-sheriff-joe-arpaio-of-arizona-who-painted-the-jail-cells-pink-and-made-the-inmates-wear-pink-prison-garb-wellsheriff-joe-is-at-it-again/

Bring in national service for anyone who re-offends and have it managed by guys like this:

It is no longer acceptable for a woman to ask her husband/boyfriend to go clothes shopping. This slavery has gone on too long. Any man who volunteers to go shopping suffers death by bitchslapping.

Adopt Switzerland's referendum system. It would be marvellous to see that in action in Ireland.
