Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Juventus are looking to get Balotelli as well

Milan have signed Balotelli. Will be interesting to see if they can make a reliable player out of him. Should be interesting anyway!

    SES Niang and Balotelli:

    Average Age: 20 years
    Average Height: 6'0"

All super fast, good on the ball and very strong.

If they click they have the potential to destroy just about any defence in europe!

It will be good to see him back in Serie A but I hate that he is going to Milan, they'll easily finish higher than Inter this season and should finish ahead of Lazio for the CL spot too.

If he can score goals, we should get 3rd I reckon.

Our defence is still a weakness though.

Lazio might be able to fight for it but Inter are only going backwards at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if Roma, Fiorentina and Udinese all finish ahead of Inter too. Mario will be a very good addition to the squad, I don't think he is as big a problem as the media makes him out to be and seeing as he's a Milan fan and he's back in Italy he'll be happier anyway. This transfer window is depressing.

It's good for Italy as well as Balo and SES have been starting together for them and looked a good match.

It's a scary amount of pace and power with those two and Niang... I really can't wait to see them together.

As a Juve fan, I'd delighted Balotelli went to Milan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,522 ✭✭✭dor83

When you look at how young they are it is quite impressive that a team like Milan are going to have them all together, most teams in their position would have tried to bring in a more established player for the experience but they are genuinely trying to build a new team. Compare that to Inter, selling the most promising young attacking player they have and bringing in a 35 year old, the only forward under 30 left in the squad is Livaja, and this was supposed to be a rebuilding season.

Lazio - Juve, what a game!

Lazio winning 1-0 in the 91st minute when Juve equalize. 2 minutes later, Lazio go down the other end of the pitch and re-take the lead. With 1 minute left, Marchisio misses an open goal from about 2 yards with not a soul around him.

Fair play to Lazio, makings a great season for them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

    Absolutely delighted :D

Some end to a good game it was.

Some finish to that game! How the hell did Marchisio miss!

Giovinco as useless as ever. Fair play to Lazio, it was a fantastic end to the game.

It's possible though, Lazio has been completely quiet on the transfer front, nothing worth noting has happened.

    Giovinco as useless as ever.
He was actually outrageously bad today. How many times did he dive as well? At least 5 or 6. Isla was woeful as well.

I knew when I saw the line ups that Juve would struggle in midfield. You can get away with starting one or two of Peluso, Marrone, Giaccherini, Isla and Padoin but not all of them.

I can't wait for Llorente to arrive. I can see this season falling apart for Juve.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,000 ✭✭✭mitosis

    Conte post match:
“Oh they weren’t penalties, the referee is always right,” said the Coach in an extremely sarcastic tone.

“In fact, Vucinic dived. He should’ve been booked for simulation and Marchetti didn’t touch him at all. Seba Giovinco was booked for diving? He should’ve been sent off, for you cannot try to con the referee like that."

“As for Klose, ooh, it was a very violent foul. An evident penalty.”

    :D

I think Juve not bringing Llorente this month will cost them dearly.

Stupid, childish carry on. Just like what himself, Marotta, Chiellini and Bonucci said after the Genoa game. And they all got themselves suspended.

It's not like they had the option to. Athletic refused to sell.

Rolando has moved to Napoli on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy him for €7m, a good deal for them in a position they need to strengthen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,116 ✭✭✭Professional Griefer

    Well that was quick.

What were the wall doing there?

    Go on Totti!

Roma concede at the start of the half again. Keeper with a howler. Ball was crossed in, drifting away from goal, no danger, keeper catches and drops it in his net.

    I thought this was live. I'm a idiot. :o

    Anyways, heres the video.

Top of the table. Decent result in awful weather. Will be interesting to see Juve's response. After what happened to Lazio in Chievo a win is by no means a forgone conclusion for the old lady

With the way Juve have been playing since Christmas and their recent record against Chievo (1 win in 6), I'd be surprised if Juve win today. Juve haven't won away to Chievo since 2008.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,643 ✭✭✭Phoenix Park

    Anelka is on the bench.

Juve really need to bring in a quality striker this summer. They are always being linked with Fernando Llorente but i wouldn't be sure he's the answer. A side like Juve playing with the likes of Matri and Quagliarella up front is crazy.

Llorente is already confirmed for the summer. free transfer.

oh right, i thought they couldn't agree terms. One more big name would be good for them. Giovinco is another one who is not good enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,643 ✭✭✭Phoenix Park

lol, Matri just scored a cracker now :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

A shaky enough second half, but got there in the end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

    Siena!

Edit: That lasted all of about 5 seconds. 1-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,522 ✭✭✭dor83

The goals are flying in 2-1 Siena, very good finish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,522 ✭✭✭dor83

2-1 at half time and Inter are lucky to only be one goal behind, Moratti really is deluded if he thinks this team is even getting close to compete for the scudetto.

That's nothing new, since the Juve game they haven't been playing as well as they should. I don't think the formation is helping but the players need to do better too.
