Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Juve get an insane amount of "bad calls" in their favour.

Juan Jesus went in to do Lichsteiner right in front of the assistant there, as well. Anybody see that?

And so do Inter and AC.

The only difference is that Juve got caught in Calciopoli.

Giovinco loses the ball EVERY time he gets it.

Rubbish, no club in Europe gets as much of a help from reffs as Juve.

It's actually horrible at times, the amount of clear decisions that aren't given against them and then the amount of "luck" they have with goals being called offside, not over the line etc while almost everything their way is given.

Spot the AC Milan fan! Every game has bad decisions. Why do you have "luck" in inverted commas? Are you trying to say they're buying off refs? After Calciopoli? You're having a laugh!
As for help in Europe, you obviously didn't watch the game against Nordsjællands

While I don't doubt that Juve get favourable decisions it's the same as ManU in England, Bayern in Germany, Barcelona and Real in Spain,...

They probably get the decisions, but that's a whole other thing than what people are claiming: That they bribe refs etc.

Juve doing their usual swarm the reff and act innocent lark, didn't work this time!

He was pulled back, although rarely are those called, apparently decision was made by the official behind the goal who had been hit with the object earlier on. The goal was offside and lichtensteiner should have been sent off, there is no denying that

His first yellow was a joke, so not really.

That doesnt excuse the fact he didnt get the second, by that logic because the first was soft he could then go maim someone zlatan style and wouldnt deserve to be sent off because of the soft first one. cmon now

Ahhhhhhhhhhh Was trying to pick Inter @ 19/1, just missed it as they got the penalty but got them at 5/1. Looking good for now.

So you're using a 'what if' scenario now ?

He didn't 'maim' someone, he came in late on the tackle, nothing more.

And trust Juve's unbeaten record to end on the day that I put a €20 on them

Juventus robbed just like Arsenal in 04 at Old Trafford. Corruption in both leagues continues imo. Serie A is too corrupt.

Felt dirty cheering for inter when the goal went in, glad it did though

Milan fan, right Seaneh? Last season's totals for penalties awarded:

    For Against
    AC Milan 9 1
    Siena 8 5
    Catania 8 4
    Inter 7 9
    Napoli 6 1
    Lazio 6 4
    Lecce 6 5
    Cagliari 6 3
    Udinese 5 5
    AC Cesena 5 8
    Fiorentina 5 6
    Parma 5 4
    Genoa 5 9
    Atalanta 4 7
    Palermo 4 6
    Bologna 3 6
    Roma 3 7
    Chievo 3 5
    Novara 3 4
    Juventus 1 3

Why would Juventus need this sort of help?

The pressure of maintaining that record is now gone, which is probably to Juve's advantage.

There's a lot of very sore Bianconeri fans out there tonight. Of all the teams to end their record, it just had to be their most hated rivals.

Yeah losing is obviously never good but that run was always going to come to an end sometime and not necessarily a bad thing having that weight off their shoulders. Still think they'll win the title comfortably, even more so if they exit the CL at the group stages.

Juve aren't going to win anything comfortably this season. If you disregard the first 18 seconds of the match, they were awful last night. Inter were completely on top for nearly the entire match. Juve have been playing poorly for weeks now but have kept scraping wins against some bad teams. They've been found out in Europe too.

Hopefully Conte getting back on the touchline will see an improvement in performances. Signing a striker in January would be huge but I don't think it will happen. I can't go a whole season watching Giovinco losing the ball a thousand times a match though.

There needs to be a plan B. Last season Conte switched between 4-3-3 and 3-5-2 regularly depending on what suited the situation. This season it's been 3-5-2 practically every minute of every game. Hopefully Pepe will be fit again soon to play wide in a front three.

Honestly there were some bizarre decisions in that match last night. Credit to Inter to rise above the tide of crazy calls by the officials to put in an outstanding second half performance and get a convincing win. Cat firmly among the pigeons now.

I am off to see Napoli v Torino in a bit. Have my Curva B ticket in hand and I am hoping that Napoli can sieze the initiative and get over the recent horrible run of results. They simply have to win today to get back some degree of self belief.

Another good win for Fiorentina, some good signings and Jovetic on form, could be good shout for 3rd.

    Legend

Samp and Genoa are both really struggling. Ferrara is a goner at Samp I'd say. Iachini will probably be brought back in to replace him.

Definitely possible, was harsh to sack him in the first place.

On another note, Maresca's goal today....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,477 ✭✭✭grenache

Maresca used to be on the books at West Brom about ten years back.

Napoli were the architects of their own demise today. Aronica gifted Torino their equaliser. Any time that man comes onto the field, i get nervous, and with good reason!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

I've always liked Maresca. It's very rare for an Italian to play relatively successfully in Spain and England.
