how to start out as an event manager with no experience?

    Hi guys have always been interested in event managing ,from limerick so a the moment Im hoping to try arrange some interesting event in nightclubs but just don't know how to go about it. I want to arrange fun nights like foam parties, speed dating, concerts even and all that but when organizing these sort of things does the nightclub take profit from the event or do you have to pay before the event has happened? any help appreciated

    Really depends on your relationship with the premises manager/owner.

    Talk to venues and ask them what they charge and what their terms of payment are. Get quotes from several places. It is called event management or planning because you need to plan everything in great detail to ensure you miss nothing and you can deal with any eventuality. This generally comes with experience but you only get that by trying. Start small and repeat the same event many times - foam parties are best left to Ibiza !!
