well lads, this website will provide all the info on the Talls Ships Events as well as the traffic diversions etc.

The area where the Event is taking place has restrictions in traffic, except for local residents, thursday to sunday, from 7am until 10pm. The diversion ends after 10pm until 7 the next morning. Residents trying to gain access need to call the The Tall Ships Project office, or for any other queries they have on the events happening at 222 5243. This phoneline will be in operation this evening up to 9pm, and will be open both saturday and sunday as well.

also the garda website is good for the traffic diversions.

Feck the traffic caos for 2 days! (I drive into the city from Finglas every day for work)
There was lots and lots of info on this for months before hand.

Bring on the Tall Ships and anything else that gives off the festival atmosphere that was there yesterday and slightly today, even through the rain
