10 million dollar day for Lancey http://cyclingtips.com.au/2015/02/armstrong-loses-court-case-ordered-to-pay-ten-million-dollars-to-sca-promotions/

"Lance Armstrong has been ordered to pay ten million dollars to the SCA Promotions company by a Texas court"

And may face further action apparently it cost SCA $12million in total...

Well at least some of the wrongs he perpetrated can be righted.

Just seen the story of Lance and his eventual uncovering on RTE. I assume it's been shown before. How he wriggled his way past Opra's questions about the testimony of the woman by slipping in the piece about confidences being broken without Oprah challenging him on it. She'd done so many interviews she should have seen through his trickery.

I saw a film review yesterday (didn't know one had been made) on "The program" with Chris O'Dowd as an Irish Sports Journalist becoming obsessed with the idea that Lance Armstrong (played by Ben Foster) performances during his TDF victories are fuelled by steroids and doping. The review is covering 3 other films currently in irish cinemas so I suppose it might be showing soon (if there's an interest).

Obsessed with LA and suggesting he may be doping?

    It's David Walsh he's playing.

I've mixed views on this - given the way some other players in the story appear to have been handled (and supposedly omitted).

Saw the movie last night in Waterford with a Q&A with David Walsh afterwards. Really enjoyed the movie, Foster was very good as Lance (he even took drugs to get into the role while training) and O'Dowd was excellent also.

The Q&A afterwards was very interesting especially Walsh's thoughts on some of the scenes and scenes that were cut etc.

Feck it. NZ are playing Georgia. Re David Walsh, that rules out either of the brothers I usually link to cycling sports

It's a shame this movie never made it to the mainstream cinemas. I would have liked to have seen it, hopefully it will be on DVD soon.
