Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I am going to take my parents out for lunch on Sunday and would like some suggestions please. I'd like to take them somewhere nice so not a Sunday carvery and also to do something afterwards.
I'm based in Dublin and they are in Meath (bordering Dublin though) so travelling anywhere up to an hour / hour and a half is ok.
I had thought of Barberstown Castle which is nice but there isn't anything to do afterwards around there that I can think of.
Tankardstown House in Slane was another one and we could go to Slane Castle afterward but we have already been there although that was a few years ago now.
I had thought of the Tall Ships and lunch in town but Dad is having some trouble with his back and all of the standing and crowds would probably be too much for him this weekend.

Anyhow any suggestions or recommendations would be well received.

More suitable and better bet here PD

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
