Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have a 99 VW Golf outside of house and at least 7 different individuals have called in the last month, wanting to know if it was for sale. Even had a note left on it with phone number to ring if I was selling. What do these guys do with the cars, would love to know, as there has to be money in it.

    Firstly, Probably drive them.
Secondly, why do you need to keep money in it?

probably just to sell on at a small profit.

aged golfs are popular among young gents & starter drivers.

Take them up a mountain and wreck it, take the parts out and sell them online/use them to modify other cars etc.

Have there been any break-ins/burgalries in your area recently? Knocking at doors asking if a car is for sale is one trick used by nare-do-wells to see if a house is unoccupied.

Might not be the case here of course.

they strip them down and sell the parts and scrape metal.

got a 150e for an old car of mine, the reckoned there 1500e/2000e worth of parts in it.

    so fair play to him
