Looking to get advice for a new build....

1. What is your budget? 450

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? General surfing and word processing, no gaming really.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

5. Do you need a monitor? No

6. Do you need any of these peripherals?

7. Are you willing to try over clocking? No

8. How can you pay? Any

9. When are you purchasing? Within a week or two

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Dublin, might need a hand alright

Do you need much storage?

For an office only machine, I'd be looking at solid state drives as they're so much faster than hard drives and make switching between office programs a breeze.
The con is that they're small in capacity for the money.

Yeah I will probably look at maybe getting a 128GB SSD. Its the future....

Here's a fairly basic build from hardwareversand. They just take bank transfers (standard in Germany, credit cards not as popular) but they were supposed to be introducing credit cards soon.

With the SSD you should fly through any office programs with ease.
450W PSU is a lot more than you need, but most of the PSUs below that start getting crappy or the good ones that are of low wattage are actually more expensive. I suppose you'd be okay with something like the cheaper Antec PSUs - they're not brilliant but should easily be stable and durable enough for that kind of work.

Maybe an mATX case for a smaller setup?
