Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Such a shame to see Essien warming the bench these days. What a player he was before the injuries.

I'm shocked he's still there tbh. Must be on big wages.

So they shoul purposely mispronounce his name?wtf?

Nope. But they seem to pick certain players and try to put a big accent on it. They dont do it with the majority of them. Plus. From what I can see, its not even right.

Someone referred to this last week, Cech's distribution is shocking.

On the Torres booking, at first thought it looked a dive but when you see it again he was clipped and going full pelt. Harsh booking but very hard to see in real time though.

Phil dowd has to be one of the worst refs in the PL. He reminds me of Greame Poll. They always have to be the centre of attention. Torres gets booked for getting tripped. Go figure that one
Dowd could do with going in a diet tbh

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,040 ✭✭✭markie29

in my opinion Torres didnt dive there...poor decision by Dowd.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,161 ✭✭✭BetterCallSaul

    That was a dive.

    That's why I quoted you ;). No confidence, o

Some player just dotn take penos. He didnt take them for Liverpool either.

    That's terrible from Luiz

Chelsea are really impressive with the ball but in the middle of the park and at the back they look frail.

That's why I quoted you ;). No confidence, last we spell from him just now sums him up the torres of old would have put his laces to that and scored, instead today's Torres held the ball up then eventually gave it away.

I remember even in the champions league shootout he was arguing away saying he didn't want to take one, thankfully he didn't :o

Thats a shocking lack of testicular fortitude if true.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh Hazard - my new man crush.
Refreshing Torres where others have failed.

    Nice finish Nando!

So the rebuild around Torres is working, but thats what you get for 80 million!

100% agreed. For all the tens of millions they've spent, their defence, central midfield and striking options look decidedly poor. The likes if Mata, Hazard and Oscar can gloss over a lot though.

    Finish Torres.

Game over I think, we don't look like creating anything. Chelsea have played very well. Hazard was worth every penny.

He is looking excellent, we really did buy one of the best young tslents around. Sure it cost 32million but he looks like he wouldnt need time to adapt to the EPL and that shows real quality.

Pards also needs to cop on and stop playing 4-4-2 to accommodate where Ba wants to play. So much better in the 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 we were using in the second half of last season.

All the waiting on who Hazard would sign for...Chelsea fans have a gem of a player on their hands...he has been quality in every game so far.

See ESPN advertising Wembley's FA cup game tomorrow. Had a look at their wiki earlier when they were on Soccer AM. They signed Graeame Le Saux, Claudio Caniggia, Martin Keown, Ugo Ehiogu, Ray Parlour and Brian McBride just to play in the cup.:) When you click on their own pages it even saysfa cup in brackets on their club lists.

Bit harsh on the lads that are being left out though.

Hazard looks good and at 21 you can't really argue with the fee paid considering his best years are ahead of him. Delighted to see Torres score again today, one of my favourite players and hope he has a good season for you, just not to good ;)

Hazard has been great!some finish from Torres!

Apparently is the first time Torres has scored from outside the box in 2 years!

Anyway - now I have to pick a game where I can see Hazard in action in person. But I dont think he will be rested anytime soon

Trying to go over in November for either the City or Fulham game. Definetly trying to go over very soon though.

I said this in the WBA v Liverpool thread last week, but I think he is a good ref, probably the best in the Premier League. Don't see any problems with the decisions he has made in either game.
