    Hi folks,
    Am I better off to use (2 x 1gb PC2 4200s) or (1 x 2gb DDR2 533)
The max ram for this laptop is 2gb as far as I can see. I have the memory already so just wondering which to use.

    Thanks for any help

    DDR2 533 is the same as PC2-4200.

Best to go for the two modules (2x1GB) to avail of dual channel.

You might be able to sell the 2GB stick to someone using a netbook as these usually come with only 1GB, room for one stick and a maximum of 2GB.
