Have a PC Dell Dimension 3100 desktop - - It's noisy, I have factory reset it a few times since I got it as it gets slow.
We use it for downloading TV Shows & movies, Web browsing, Word, powerpoint, streaming to WD media player as have external storage connected to it.

    Profile below

Should we get a laptop or a another desktop - Don't want to spend too much. Should we change it at all.
PS. Also have a Samsung netbook & HP Touchpad so probably don't need a another laptop except it would take up less space than the desktop.

I would have to say get rid of it. It's an old CPU by today's standards, running hot and inefficient - today's bottom end CPUs would beat it several times over. You could get a modern system for fairly cheap which would be more pleasurable. Head over to the building & upgrading forum and we can give you a hand with some recommendations if you are interested in getting the best for your money.
