Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wouldn't mind seeing a little bit of width, too easy to defend against when we slow play up.

When this Arsenal team gels and starts understanding each other, they'll be immense

I concur, you can see already Podolski and Cazorla are linking up well, I see exciting times ahead and genuinely believe we have a better team than we did this time last year.

I think the left side is a better position for him, but its also Podolskis

Podolski really upped his game so far today playing well

Feckin Diaby, he always provides that glimmer of hope that he's going to do something useful but never follows through.

Arteta is doing a good job out there, back defending, standing tackles.

Cazorla is class. Delighted to have him.

We're doing pretty good until the final third. Once we get there it falls apart. Getting half chances but not taking any.

Silly Stoke fans calling Cazorla a w*nker. He doesn't speak english.
    Completely oblivious to it all.

Gervinho not doing it today at all.

Yeh had so many better options there, and just ran it out.

They're so irrelevant they have to make up a rivalry with a club 180 miles away.

Pod is going to unlock this for Arsenal.

Love watching Cazorla play. He just seems one step ahead. He's one of those players you love to watch. I could envisage him and RVP creating a devastating partnership, but that's not how it went.

    Giroud getting very isolated.
He's a strong lad, give it to him.

I really think he needs crosses. When is Sagna back? One of the best crossers of the ball I've seen.

Jenkinson is probably the best crosser of the ball we have.

Won't be any day soon that's for sure.
At least Giroud has more pace and talent than Chamakh on the ball so that's a positive.
Cazorla has been excellent, looks like a quicker Fabregas at times out there.

podalski playing very well but cazorla looks like the signing of the summer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

Podolski has been great today, Stoke don't know how to react to someone they can't bully. He's bullying them at times.

not letting Stoke dominate at all. Matching their physicality all the way. just need a bit of class or ruthlessness up front and this should be a comfortable win.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

    Okay first half
Giroud and Gerv not getting into it yet.
    Midfield controlling it well
Defensively solid Jenkinson has done well

Wud be delighted to Nic this one nil

    Unlike previous seasons ;)
I'm loving this new work ethic Wenger, Bould and the new players have brought.
They are playing as a team, always looking to help with duties other than attacking.

i'm liking Giroud, he's trying hard. Just hope he gets a goal soon or i fear his confidence may suffer. Stoke defending resolutely, hoping arsenal get the breakthrough soon enough.

I think Cazorla, Podolski and Giroud have been very good so far.

Very impressed with Giroud, he's not been getting many chances on goal but he's tracking back a lot, working his socks off and done well defending set pieces when he's had to. Stoke not managing to bully him up front either, seems like he was made for the PL. Now if only he could score a goal!

Diaby,Arteta, Jenkinson & Gibbs playing well too.

On the downside we've nearly gotten caught out at the back a few times, Mannone looked far from good for the disallowed goal (though done fine since). Haven't had many clear chances on goal either which is always a worry. gervinho not been great either, got into a few good positions only to run into a dead end like he used to last season.

Arsenal defending has been solid. Good to see

Shame, Sagna's crosses are fantastic, Giroud would eat them up.

Yeah Cazorla seems to be a step ahead of most of the Arsenal players out there.

We've owned the ball, Cazorla running the show. Get Gerv off, he's anonymous. Theo on, push Pod closer to Giroud. He's been a bit isolated.

Hilarious watching Stoke trying to play football. The short throw was funny, they hadnt a clue what do do with the ball because it wasnt lumped into the box.

    .
They will come, i'm more interested in seeing what he can do technically, because he is gifted for a big lad.

I think we're looking at an Arsenal favourite in the making.

    I love the little wizard.

Really wish Diaby would go towards the ball once in a while.

Listening to Talksport, Sam Matterface pronounces 'Giroud' in such a way that I think Djourou is up top...

Anyone else seeing this ending as a draw :(
