    Hi,

Would appreciate some help with the wiring of a PIR Wall Lantern

Coming from the mains inside I have a Blue and Brown Wire coming into a Junction Box (see Pic 1)

In the PIR I have 2 Brown, 2 Blue and a Red Wire (see pic 2)

Can someone tell me which wires go where please?

    Regards

    Iba

Your connector block you have a blue and brown cable.

In the blue connector attach the two blue wires protruding from the light/sensor. You will end up with three blue wires joined together.

In the brown connector attach the brown wire protruding from the "sensor unit" that does not have the black flex around it. You will end up with two brown wires joined together.

Now get another connector block and join the red cable and the brown cable with black flex around it. You will end up with two cables connected together that are brown and red.

*** Make sure power is disconnected and that the connections made are good and tight before wiring.

    spot on
put the earth in a connector block on its own(the bare copper wire)
just tidy them up a bit so they fit in neatly;)

Can I just ask, why cant I put the Red and Brown wire (coming out of the black Flex) into the spare/empty place on the small connector (the one with the 3 spaces/the one where the blue wires are)?

    Thanks
