For the last few years I had been dabbling but not particularly making much out of gambling. So, about two months ago, I decided I'd take this betting lark a bit more seriously, see if I can put my sports obsession to good use. So since I started being a bit more careful with my bets, in that I take more time to do some research, as well as bet multiple smaller bets rather than put all my eggs in one basket, I've found myself winning quite a decent return, roughly 33% profit per week on my bankroll which is grand, affords me a few pints and whatnot.

So, I've seen a few lads give this tenner challenge a go, and I was thinking to myself I'll have some of that. I'm not going to keep betting the entire bank thou, as I'll get mighty pissed if this gets anywhere and I lose the lot, so I'm thinking I'll set myself checkpoints where I can split the bank in half or quarters and lower the risk of going bust.

I'll be back in while with my 1st bet, so wish me luck :pac:

Right.. #1 is a bit risky, but I do bet and win a bit on tennis so why not!
If I go bust on #1 I'll have a 2nd bite at the cherry.

    Selection: 1/7 - Maria Sharapova
    Event: Maria Sharapova (0) 1 15-0 1 (0) *Melinda Czink
    Market: Next game winner (4)
    Potential Return: €11.43

Maria serves on game four and just won her last serve to love, so baring anything unexpected she should hold it..

And I'm out at the fourth hurdle, she went from 40-15 to lose on her own serve, I'll give it a second lash anyway, as I said betting on people holding their serve can be risky.

Ok, started again, trusted Maria to be good and hold her serve next time around at 1/8 and she duly delivered so up to €11.25

Now just bet on Go Soeda to hold his serve V Mardy Fish which has also won, so balance now stands at €15.34

And Go gets raped on that one, back to €10. I wont be firing bets out this quickly all along, just on the laptop doing something extremely boring at the moment so this is a welcome distraction. Also won't be betting on tennis a whole lot, just Maria's game is a total miss match while Go's odds were pretty decent..

Ok, now that I've started again and won my 1st two bets, I'll be a good boy and slow shizzle down and think about my bets a little more. I might have a few little bets on the league cup tomorrow, I'll leave tennis alone and admit defeat in winning the service lottery, it can be damn unpredictable.

Might have another little one before I hit the sack but nothing jumps out to me at the moment, feedback and advice always welcome by the way, I feel like I've got added pressure not to fail, seeing as I'm logging the bets now :pac:

Good luck. Restarted my log tonight with my 2nd attempt.

It's tough but I really think it's doable.

Betting on tennis players holding serves can be fairly dodgy... especially women!

Have you any idea when Federer is starting? PP had it down as 1.45, but it hasn't started yet.

I see it as down for 3am in a few places, and yeah, I know its dodgy as hell, I just wanted to throw a few bets out there and see, mainly because I'm procrastinating

Right time for an actual football bet! We shall hit the columbian league where at HT it stands Depor F.C. 0-0 Unión Magdalena

I've gone with my tenner on Unión Magdalena with a handicap of +2 at 1/10 there above Depor in the league with a better goal difference, so heres hoping!

Another very evenly matched pair, right after I made the bet odds dropped to 1/8, but oh well.. Hes ranked higher by about 200 or so places so (163 v 364) and looking at Gombos' history he never beats anyone ranked in the top 200.

1-4 ahead and serving in set 2, if he loses this he should be shot, ranking wise there very close but Džumhur is in better form albeit the lower ranked of the pair.

    Edit: Win! Bank: €15.65
Christ, Immediately after I posted he dropped his serve, but went on to win the set 6-2

This one will probably go down to the wire too, Gil, is Higher ranked but in crap form, just need to hope Naso holds his serve..

Holds his serve and wins 4-6

Back to Football now and to Russia's 2nd tier.
I've gone with Tom Tomsk DNB against Shinnik Yaroslavl @1/8

Total stake for this bet: €16.43
    Potential Return: €18.48

Tom are unbeaten at home this season while Shinnik are yet to win away, Tom are also 6 points and 8 goals better off than their opponents, so I'm hoping for a narrow home win. Double chance wasn't worth betting on as it was 1/25.

Bit of a stab in the dark here, but there seems to be plenty of goals in both of these teams, so pray to the gambling gods for me!

Over 1.5 goals in India V Nepal @2/9
Total stake for this bet: €18.48
    Potential Return: €22.18

0-0 after 11 minutes, bookies seemed to suggest there would be at least 3/4 goals in it judging by the odds pre kickoff.
