Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Anyone who reads the Metro herald will be familiar with the thread title! For anyone who isnt familiar the Metro "Ya big ride" is a column where people send in romantic declarations to people they might have met randomly or even known a long time!

    Some examples are: To the stubbly dark haired man who gets the 83 bus from Kimmage every morning. Drop me a line Im single!

    or

    "To the hot blonde in the hot pants who works in stephens green shopping centre every day, are you single?"

    I think this is a great idea and I can see myself using it as an icebreaker sometime but I still rather flirting face to face! If it works the person who is subject of the letter gets in touch with the person who wrote the letter through the metro. Do any of you have a crush on someone that you would approach this way and would you mind if anyone approached you this way?

    The reason I started this thread would be to put forward the idea of a boards.ie version of ya big ride? Would it work?
