If the ploughing is in Killarney next year then that rules me out

    Again :pac:

And me, its 4 1/2 hours down there by car when there's no traffic on the road, never mind when there is a couple of thousand travelling towards 1 field.

I was at this years one and on second day and I didnt think traffic too bad. The key was to get there early and leave venue early. With that amount of trafffic there was going to be some problems. What I didnt like this year was amount of teenagers there with no interest onll to get free bees. I saw plenty underage drinking there around the bars , which should def not be allowed. Also the amount of robbing going on was frightening. The two sports shops were nearly cleaned out on first day.

According to The Dealer in this week's Farmer's Journal, it's between Ratheniska (Co. Laois), Ardee (Co. Louth), and Tullow (Co. Carlow), with Ratheniska being the front runner.

The 2013 @NPAIE National Ploughing Championships will take place at Ratheniska, Co Laois. Close to Stradbally /Portlaoise
So what do people think of the location for the 2013 national ploughing championships?
Personally I think it should hopefully a great location right in the centre with good road access an motorway nearby.

That sounds good, it's a lot more central so more people will get the chance to go.
