    Hi,

Does anyone know of anyone some where who deals with short term letting of terms of 4-6 weeks. 3 months seems to be the minimum and I can't find anything that suits us. [South west Dublin, 3 bed]

Any pointers, anywhere, to anybody would be much obliged.

    Tried

    daft/short term
    Let.ie/short term
    Various Holiday homes sites
Estate agents with vacant sale agreed
    Gumtree.

No-one wants to let for less than 3 months. Holiday homes either to expensive or too small.

Y'd think it easier than this.

Now? In a few months? Also, what sort of budget? And by South West, would you mean Tallaght. And if you do, how about; http://www.daft.ie/625192

Short term lets mean more vacant periods for the property, so the daily rate has to be (significantly) more than the daily rate of a 1 year lease property or else it makes more sense to just let the property long term and avoid all the hassle of advertising every few weeks and dealing with inpsections, checking inventories blah blah. At 4-6 weeks you are effectively in holiday let territory, so you can expect to pay this sort of rate.

Look into getting a room in a hostel. Most hotels and hostels will do a monthly rate if you're staying in a room for a few weeks, and this would probably be more suited to you.

    Examples;

    O.P

What are you looking to find that you would settle for & what's your set up?

Are you looking for a ST 3 bed in west Dublin or is that where you are ? Are there kids/pets involved etc!?

you may also look at shared accomodation and contact the owners who have more than one room - at good terms they may have still more than originally advertised

I had a similar search last year and ended up in premier appartments (nice but expensive) , really hard. Maybe try airBnB too?

    Hmmm
Sometimes you get older non -Internet folk who advertise by putting signs in local supermarkets ; house to rent etc. If you go to wherever you want to rent & look there you may well find something of use. I know for example JCs in Swords has a huge one, dunnes in Portmarnock a small one, Superquinn in Sutton a huge one ; etc. A local look is well worth the effort ; and they well may be happy to rent for 2 months with perhaps an option to view if someone else wants to look while you are there perhaps in the evening by agreement so they won't loose out on a long-term rent by taking up a short-term tenant while they find the right ling-term person!
    Does that sound right!!!?
    Goodluck!!!
