Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

These two are very popular. I have them both.

Also, you can get disk locks for pretty cheap.

Lol, you can imagine the face on the courier that delivered a shoebox size box from almax with immobiliser 3 ("portable") and 4 (in situe) locks. :-D
I recommend those locks with the added entertainment factor.

I got four 2m almax chains and 4 squire locks. Could barely lift the bag!

    funny ....
    Wall of Shame
Our latest chain is the ALMAX IMMOBILISER SERIES III; it has NEVER been bolt cropped. By anyone. Ever. The only damage was to the bolt croppers.

Almax 100%. I saw two lads in 2010 walk up to my bike, take a look at the chain, lift it up and hold it in their hands, shake their heads and then hop back in the van and drive away. :)

I wonder how they would fair out to a hand held angle grinder.

Not the huge ones, I mean they will cut through anything.

Almax are the business. I have two, one at home and one at work. They are too heavy to carry on the bike. You can get the squire locks keyed alike which is handy. I also have the hardie anchor, nice piece of kit. Maxine in Almax was good to deal with and organised a tidy discount for a multi order at the time. Highly recommended.

Tested one in work for the laugh one day. I broke the key and lost the spare so it was no use to me anyway. We beat it with lump hammers, drove the forklift repeatedly over it, swinging it over our heads and smashing it on the ground, got a bolt cutters at it....nothing! Noting worked to open the lock. We HAD to get a big industrial angle grinder to cut through it and even then it took a bit of effort. Needless to say, I got another one of those!! :D

So a small hand held grinder is no use / would take hours?

Im weighing up the cost of Chain + Lock for 100 euro

versus Almax for around 200 euro landed. Big difference $

Ive watched their video and I cant really see a bike thief carrying a huge bolt cutters that big with them. Perhaps Im wrong.
