I persume there will be no more stamp duty next year because there is a property tax or is that wishful thinking?

Stamp duty will be staying - they will be basing the tax amount on the property prices register which is in turn based on the stamp duty returns

Stamp duty for house purchases under 1 million is now just 1%. Compared to what it used to be it is insignificant.
