Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

I'm interested in checking out some of the made for tv movies, particularly biographies of famous people or persons of interest. I'm looking for some recommendations! I've seen the majority of the cinema release biographies, so would love to uncover some made for tv gems. Any recommendations are much appreciated!

    What I'll be watching next:
    Rasputin (1996)
    Elvis: The Movie (1979)

    What I've seen recently:
    Ted Bundy (2002) 6/10
The Linda McCartney Story (2000) 5/10

John Adams is well worth a watch, its a miniseries though rather than a movie. Paul Giamatti plays Adams himself, has a great supporting cast too, HBO seven part series from a few years ago: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0472027/

Gotti was pretty good. Strong lead performance from Assand Assante as the titular crime boss. If you're a fan of the genre then it's definitely worth a watch (features a few members of the The Sopranos cast too).

The girl who plays Meadow Soprano played Heidi Fleiss in Hollywood Madam. Its not a good film ,in fact its awful but thats why you should watch it!

Usually if they're made-for-TV biopics, they're dreadful, the Linda McCartney story you mentioned was hilarious, also worth checking out is Tears and Laughter:The Joan and Melissa Rivers Story where Joan and her daughter Melissa Rivers are played by...themselves.

It's not a biography, but Recount is one of the best I've seen. The cast is incredible and it's really gripping - even if you're not into politics
