Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lovely cross by Downing, unlucky not to score!

carroll not suited to the system, so liverpool cross high balls into the box in his absence

Poor Dani sitting in the stands

Downing doing well so far, attacking lb might be his future.

Can really see the 'retrieve the ball within 7 seconds' thing in action tonight.

Joe Allen is going to be a star, a joy to watch someone do things with such ease. Very Xabi-Esque

Poor Adam Morgan is having an absolute mare so far.

Is he out on the left?

Yeah Morgan is completely ineffective. Offering nothing.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 10,259 ✭✭✭✭Melion

I cant understand why he isnt playing through the middle(Morgan), he is not a winger in any way, shape or form. The lad is a poacher and should be in the middle

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,326 ✭✭✭Jason Todd

Stupid by Stevie there to take a long range shot, we had loads of bodies in and around the box and he just wasted possession.

    Sterling on the bench lol

    Seems quality indeed.

Gets the ball and finds a man. Can`t really fault that.

Anyone else thing Kelly has regressed since his injury problems? Haven't seen him play well for quite a while and used to really like him.

In fairness to Morgan, maybe he should be played through the middle.

    Wake up Rodgers

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,425 ✭✭✭telekon

What's Charlie Adam doing in the stands? Shouldn't he be doing a medical somewhere?

I think Kelly is a solid player, just not getting a good run of games on the trot.

Johnson is a notch above him tbf, but Kelly is excellent backup

Kelly was never a world beater in fairness, but not a bad player to be able to develop from your academy. May mature into a very good central defender. Don't think he'll ever be a world class full back in fairness.

If that wasn't a penalty then surely he should have been booked for diving? He threw himself over ffs!

Could be all part of a learning experience for him tbh. I remember Shelvey being used as a left back for the last 20 minutes of a game last season, or the season before.

Also, it's easier to throw him in on the wing than as the main out and out striker.

I'm all for the passing game but passing around at the back is dodgy sometimes!

I think some players should be checked for colour blindness some of the passing is shocking

Morgan is not a winger. I have no idea what Rodgers is thinking playing him on the wing.

    Opr

To me its a case of Johnson will offer the team more in attack and can defend but is not the best defender in the world . Where as Kelly is more solid defensively but doesn't offer as much as Johnson going forward .

    Unlucky Stevie, great run...

He'll learn more playing his best position tbh.

    Suarez playing way too deep.

We desperately need someone that plays on the shoulder of the last man.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,425 ✭✭✭telekon

    Devastating that for Morgan. :(

He's been dreaming of that moment all his life...

    Sickened for Morgan alrite.

WTF... Unlucky, would have been a great goal, coming after a good period of possession. Looks a good decision though, hard to tell since I'm watching it on the least amount of resolution possible :o

Unfortunate for Morgan but what a miss by shelvey terrible

That may do for tonight, but I mean in the long term.

But yeah, switching Morgan and Suarez would improve things.

We're controlling the game well overall though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,425 ✭✭✭telekon

Carra is a liability trying to pass it around the back, looks very uncomfortable.

    £100,000 a week and can't pass a ball.
