solicitor/client privilege is an ethical issue and upheld in the legal profession. Nobody can tell you if this is happening or not but if it is, and you can prove it, then they are in trouble.

If you are very sure of your suspicions, ie, you have an unusual bequest or clause in your will (€9999 to a home for fallen women, for example) and later some one mentions this exact detail to your face, then you have a good reason to make an appointment with the senior partner and make a strongly phrased complaint about the professional behaviour of his staff. These guys dont type up documents themselves. See what the senior partner says, and if you are not happy, tell them you are making a new will with another practice, and will not consider nor recommend their firm for further buisness. Thats about all you can do for the moment. M in Cavan

Wills and all related to them are extremely confidential matters. Any suspected breach should be raised with the solicitor concerned
