Do you actually hate anyone?

A discussion in work today got me thinking about this one. So who do you vehemently despise?

And im not talking about really disliking someone. For instance I really dislike dickhe@d customers in my workplace, and that guy who gave me a hard time in school. But i wouldn't go so far as to say I hate either.

So is there an individual or group who you actually hate? A person who makes your stomach churn if you see them in public. A person you would actually wish ill towards.

You know something, Novella? ... it's healthy to feel justifiable anger too. And sometimes you have to acknowledge that anger and live with it for a while before you can begin to forgive ... forgetting takes a whole lot longer, and may never happen, and that, as the shrinks might say, is ok too.

Oh yes, I can think of a few people. I know a few who make me think 'justifiable homicide'. One of them is in the hall of the adjoining house with a sledgehammer at this very moment, 8.30am. DIY can be a terrible curse.

He doesn't work so has all week to do this. It started at 6.45 last night, just after the c@nt on the other side of us finished painting the back of his house and covered our window sill and window with paint splatters. Did we get an apology, did we hell as like? I now have to buy paint to repaint my sill and I'll have to scrape the paint of the window. Today he'll do the front and no doubt f@ck up that one too.:mad:

I guarantee you Mr Sledgehammer is only doing it so as not to be outdone by Mr Painter. :rolleyes:

Don't have the time for it myself. Then again, nothing drastic has ever happened to me that'll put me into such a strong feeling as that yet. There have been people and family I didn't get on with, but I've either learned from it on how to redevelop relationships, or spot out gobshítes and leave'em be.

I'm so chilled I went an married an English woman. Hating only poisons your system and you end up devoting time to that hate and it screws up your life. I know because unfortunately my Aunt died not having spoken to her own brother for years.....he refused to make up with her when he heard she was dying. Didn't go to her funeral or anything. To me thats sad, not worth it.

I hate one guy enough that any thoughts of massive harm coming to him makes me happy. I recently heard he was a Junkie and living on the streets, Oh how I laughed. cnut.

I also think my feelings towards Sean Quinn equel hate even though Ive never met him. Ive wanted bad things to happen to him for years every since I was ripped off by Quinn insurance. Now I am really enjoying his fall from grace.

I don't actively think about most of them but if I were to list the people I'd happily kill if there were no consequences to me, just to remove them from society it'd be a very long list. Mainly politicians and "celebrities".

Maybe it makes me a sociopath but I just can't subscribe to the notion that all life is equally valuable. Most are on a sliding scale of value, others are clearly of negative value.

I never hated anyone up until this summer, I hated this person for a few days and then I realised it was not good for me to hate someone, it didn't suit my character and it took a toll on my own happiness and well-being.

The best thing to do is forgive and forget, it requires a lot of energy to hate someone and just pushing on with your own life separate to theirs will be the only way to empower yourself to do great things.

Hate is natural, you can't like everyone and some subhumans deserve nothing but hate.

I genuinely thought I could never hate anyone. "Hate" was a word that I never really understood. Hate in my books was a serious dislike and not a "I hope I am the last face they see when they pass away". Simply because of the destruction or influence someone has on another person that makes them feel like shoite, I now understand the term. It really is sad, because I would never intentionally inflick the kind of pain or hurt on to another human being that would envoke an emotion that takes soo much more power than smiling and liking somebody.

Yes, I hate lots of people for the right reasons. I don't think it's bad or unhealthy in any way, I think suppression or denial of your feelings is extremely bad.
