Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,

Bought a Yamaha Neos 50 cc and looking for a reliable place to have it serviced. It's done less than 1000 km so I'm not expecting much to be wrong with it but it has been in someone's garage for a couple of years.

I live in Dublin 4 area and was wondering if anyone could recommend a garage/shop or steer me clear of a place that generally stiffs people.

    Cheers

Give scooter Island in D8 a shout or checkout their site.
Not in your area but not that far, they know their stuff.

Give Carl in MC Scoots a shout, he's in Inchicore - will service the bike no problem!

Thanks for the replies guys. Just wondering how much should a service cost?

Is it running, do you feel something is not right?

A general service will be an oil change, filter, new plug, tighten cables, charge battery, check tyres, quick clean that's about it.

    €50-€100.

    Thanks Nudger,

Moped seems to be running fine. I've been riding it for about 3 months and I've had no problems with it. How often should I be servicing it?

Don't know much about the Neos but on bigger bikes change the oil around every 3000 miles.
Wouldn't be much oil in the neos so buy a good quality one.
If it is starting on the first turn then the battery and plug must be ok, if not get a new spark plug.
Batteries suffer during winter loosing their charge, when starting the bike make sure your lights are off before turning it over.
Check your tyres for any cuts of cracks and check for right pressure each time you get petrol.
