Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chelsea have been hopeless. I'm surprised no one is mentioning Di Matteo's position. I don't think he has the full confidence of Abramovich and this result will do him no favours.

Id be blaming the players as mich as RDM tonight. Nobody looked bothered, we played like it was a pre season game and Atlei played the game like a final, like it should be played.

    Fair dues to them.

If you take the effort that some of the Chelsea players put in they might aswell have been down 2/3 men at least.

After such a good start to the season that was just horrendous. Looked like a pre season game for us, no desire to win at all.

Would preferred if RDM had made more risky changes at half time. The game passed Lamps by.

He is hanging around Spurs Lodge trying to take credit for the Hugo Lloris signing.

On the night you are right on both counts.

In any match those Falcao goals were class.

Just got in and heard the result. Wow thats a pretty convincing defeat for Chelsea.

Hopefully Terry is not going miss his flight home with him partying with Madrid boys.:D

That was just weird. All of a sudden, they seemed to have forgotten about playing quick triangles and smart balls through the centre and reverted to long diagonal balls and hoofed balls into the centre. It's like they forgot Drogba isn't playing up front any more.

Townsend was right in commentary - Chelsea were taking 3 or 4 touches and were painfully slow in the build up. I wonder is this the RDM pragmatism that he displayed last year. Didn't give a monkey's about the League and bet everything on the Champions League. He knows he's not going to keep his job by winning the Mickey Mouse cups (injurious though it is for the fans), so he's letting the Community Shield etc slide by. Certainly the attitude was all wrong and RDM didn't appear to be overly put out. Ashley meanwhile looked shell-shocked and ballistic.

It was very funny when Atletico won 4-1.

You'd swear Chelsea were some convincing all dominating team last year the way some people are going on. This team in which they haven't addressed the defence in the transfer window finished 6th last season, coceeded 5 against Arsenal, 4 against Liverpool and 3 against United twice, Napoli should have seen them off by more in the first leg in Naples and Barca had a very rare poor couple of legs in front of goal where they created plenty of chances(faaar more than Chelsea) but didn't happen for them on the nights, a rare occurance for them.
