    Hi,

I am looking for someone to run network and AV cables in a new build. It will be all simple enough but I want to make sure its done right and all these smarthome companies are way too expensive.

Any help is very much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Chris

Do you just want cables pulled for first fixing, or will you be looking for terminations as well?

Re Cat 6, sure - as long as there is a designed plan in place.
    Re AV, no way!
You'll end up with bell wire for speaker cables!
You need to have a design worked up with a full spec, and future proofed...

Well I did say experienced electrician!
I did see electricians one time buzzing out CAT5 using a mains plug at one end and a mains detector at the other end
