Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

I'm trying to fill in my ASTI renewal form (it's the first time I've done this). I can figure out which membership category I fit into.

I am employed from this coming Monday until Christmas to cover 11.4 hours of parental leave. Does this make me a:
    • Substitute teacher part-time contract (not PRC or RPT) or
    • Fixed-term pro-rata contract (regular part-time) 11 or more hours
Hopefully, it's the first because I will have to fork out an extra €50 for the sake of 20 mins teaching otherwise :P

Also, does the fact that I am not likely to be employed after Christmas have any bearing on which I select as I am neither of the above for the full year; just until Christmas.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Send them an email? It would be as quick as posting here and the reply would be accurate...

I'd say you're a substitute - as far as I know, RPT means the hours are your own for the whole year, not providing cover for someone else.
