Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey guys.
been looking all over the net but I cant find what Im looking for.
I bought a pair of Turtle Beach X12.
I Have an Xbox Slim and I use HDMI.
My TV does not have Audio Out or an Earphone Jack.

Is there a way of setting them up without having to buy an adaptor cable?

    Any help will be appreciated!

I had a similar issue with my X31's. I had to change from HDMI to Component to resolve (bottom image). You can still get 1080p through the component cable.

Call into your local Gamestop, they sorted me out with an adapter for free as they had plenty of spares from people trading in XBoxes.

If there's an optical out on tv a DAC (digital to analog converter) would be the man set you back 40-50€. Here's a cheaper option. http://www.ioffer.com/i/1-5m-1080p-gold-1-3-hdmi-to-5-rca-splitter-av-cable-175246129. There is a slight differience betwween hdmi and Component. If there's component on the end of hdmi the best you'll get from it is component probably best sticking to the Xbox's component or get the DAC.

From my experience the adapters from Xbox switch off The xbox when u change the channel on the tv when hdmi lead and adapter plugged in at the same time.

Wouldn't you just use the component cable for sound out to the headphones and the hdmi out to the tv for picture?

I know they don't fit in together but I took the plastic coating off the component cable on mine (it's metal underneath so you don't damage the cable) and they double penetrate the back of the Xbox nicely now :pac:

Yeah did that myself but I use all of my 32 inches as a computer monitor tv and Xbox, every time I'd change channels it would reset the Xbox. Giggady.
