Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,

    I want to know who has a solar P.V system installed and what your experiences with it are and if it exceeds your expectations This will be useful data as people think solar P.V is useless for Ireland.

    Please keep this thread simple and clean and strictly no discussion, if we can have it as an information or possibly sticky also would be great. So it would be nice if the MODS could get on board to make it stay strictly as information and no discussion.

    So the questions are

    1---how much for installation ?

    2---make of panels ?

    3---how many kw's installed

    4---When was it installed ?

    5---How many kw/hrs did it generate since installation ?

    6---how many kw/hrs per year does it generate ?

    7---Has it exceeded your expectations in general

    8---why did you get it installed ?

    9---how much do you make from exporting ?

    10---are you an e.v owner ?

    3---how many kw's installed 2.66

    4---When was it installed ? 13/01/2012

    5---How many kw/hrs did it generate since you got it. 1446

    6---how many kw/hrs per year does it generate ? Target 2283 (SAP2005)
    7---Has it exceeded your expectations ? What this year!!!!

    8---why did you get it installed ? I know it works in Ireland

    9---how much do you make from exporting ? 0.19c for 5 years then 9c

    10---are you an e.v owner ? No

    6---how many kw/hrs per year does it generate ? no idea - will let you know in January :)

    7---Has it exceeded your expectations in general Yes

    8---why did you get it installed ? To lower bills + for Eco reasons

    9---how much do you make from exporting ? 19c for 5 years , after that who knows?

    10---are you an e.v owner ? No

    I thought I could repost in my reserved area but I can't because I wanted to keep this thread as clean as possible.

    I'm still looking for Solar P.V data from people as it would finally give us a real idea if solar P.V in Ireland is worth it or not so please post your results.

    1---how much for installation - 5k invertor and 5820w of panels = £8K self installed

    2---make of panels - 'sunrise' Chinese imports

    3---how many kw's installed - 9 x 235w = 2115w so far

    4---When was it installed -11/6/12

    5---How many kw/hrs did it generate since installation - 948 (5.6/day)

    6---how many kw/hrs per year does it generate - find out next year

    7---Has it exceeded your expectations in general - so far yes

    8---why did you get it installed - enviroment/energy independance

    9---how much do you make from exporting - don't know yet

    10---are you an e.v owner - no hybrid
