Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have to say, RVP is awesome. I'm just so delighted he plays for us now! Every time he get the ball in the box I feel like we're going to score; and that's very exciting.

Clyne. First he injures Aguero and now he hands RVP a goal on a plate. Candidate for my new least favourite premier league player this year.

Dangerous free kick here. RVP to smash it

Andres, what the feck is with your kicking? It's on a whole other spectrum compared to DDG exceptional distribution.

Carrick's passing is off. Misplacing way too many.

Clyne is having a fight with gravity on that pitch

Another very good cross to the far post there by Big Val.

Everyone slipping everywhere on that pitch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,688 ✭✭✭Nailz

Shinji should've kept it simple there and passed to Val. Another decent game so far for Cleverley, his play is very clean and progressive.

Carrick is just slowing everything down, frustrating

United are very poor in the middle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

We are, surprisingly, extremely poor in the middle of the pitch. Cleverely's not playing great and needs to step it up.

Welbeck on the wing doesn't seem to be working great, I'd put Nani on there.

has anyone told Welbeck he's supposed to be on the left?

Also where has Hollywood Carrick come from? Should be playing triangles with Clev and Kagawa but is going long a lot for some reason.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,347 ✭✭✭Quandary

Carrick having a very poor game so far, getting caught in possession, giving the ball away with stray passes. I suppose it is only his first competitive game back in midfield so he was always going to be a bit off the pace. Kagawa is also having a poor game today, seems to be struggling with the physicality a little bit, getting muscled off the ball sometimes.

Aside from getting out jumped for the goal Rafael is having a good game and linking up well with AV.

Southampton are working really hard and making us work even harder to find openings.

Hope Kagawa and Carrick improve 2nd half.

Also, Jamie Redknapp is an unrelenting gimp.

Carrick is having a shocker. Far too many misplaced passes and has been robbed of the ball a few times as well. Cleverley and Kagawa are being bullied physically. Shock, horror, our midfield is a problem.

You really miss De Gea's distribution when you see other keepers attempt the things he pulls off with ease.

Welbeck out wide is just never going to work. I hate it. It totally negates his ability to work the ball centrally, forces him out wide and makes him track back defensively where he looks totally lost, like all strikers do. Play 2 up top or play Nani. Welbeck out wide is pointless.

Valencia seems to be reluctant to take people on in his "I am a train, get out of the way" style. Granted he has taken a few weeks to get going each season, and he's not having a bad game, but I would like to see the locomotive back in action.

Good points are Evra having a decent game, and Van Persie's tasty tasty volleys.

Would like to see Nani on for Welbeck at some stage, Clyne or Fox won't be able to deal with him. If we are still in need of a goal then these are the games that Chicharito thrives in. If we grab the goal then expect Scholes to come on, get booked, and slowly see the game out.

He's giving me nightmares every time he gets the ball around 30-40 yards from the United goal.Southampton players are on him in a flash & he's been caught out a few times already.
