Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Brady cant continue to defend Trap after this first half performance

course he will, he likes his cushy well paid job, he's not going to rock the boat

most embarrassing performance so far I have seen and that includes Cyprus and San Marino. At least Cyprus were better then we thought

Just heard McCarthy's name mentioned. Hadn't seen him prior to that.

Hard to be effective when the ball is constantly flying over his head. The full backs keep playing it into the winger or just launching it towards Walters.

Shooting from outside the box, into a box full of bodies hoping for a fúcking deflection.

    Quality stuff from Ireland.

    Fúck off.

Every team does that. Sometimes they fly in. Gera's shot a few weeks ago found the top corner and there was 15 odd players in the box.

Lots of sticks to beat Ireland with, lets not be stupid.

Our midfield looks so rigid. That was a perfect example there. Their CB won the header and one simple ball beat all 4 of our midfielders.

One simple one two beats everyone one our midfielders.

    That was absolutely diabolical!

If McClean doesn't get a run today......

In Newry so Sky in all their brilliance have RTE Two blocked but by sounds of things am not missing anything.

Im going on the booze. Hoping for a barn stormig 2nd half expecting another 60 long balls to two average size strikers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,340 ✭✭✭TheBuilder

That was awful, being completely shown up by Kazakhstan. The pitch is asking for football to be played on it, yet it's continuous long punts up towards Walters.

Get McClean on and get at them down the wings.

Can't believe the Kazaks hit the post, my prediction below would have been another step closer to being fulfilled.

2-1 to Kazakstan- Irish team is totally demoralised after Euro 2012 and it will show on Friday.

We're in real trouble again, would be surprised if the Kazaks don't score in the 2nd half.

I had a sick feeling this game could be like the Cyprus banana skin a few years back and although they are not playing as badly as they did that day the writing is still on the wall.

Bad first half from Ireland - they look clueless.

Sky is blocked, but if you have a regular aerial you can switch to that and watch it.

    Pity dunphy isn't in studio.

    Shame!

Was the goal any good or just poor Irish defending?

was a good cross in from the free kick and the kazakh guy flicked the ball in....not sure if it was bad marking as no replays shown during the first half.

awful marking by Glenn Whelan on near post.

Total farce, Trappatoni for the boot, sack! Pure s*** and they call themselves professional footballers. They can't even get shots on target and are losing the ball. No intelligence or tactical awareness whatsoever. A complete joke. :D

When did we play worse? That first half was bad even by Trap standards.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,623 ✭✭✭double GG

How can Brady blame the pitch? We haven't played the ball on the pitch all night!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,276 ✭✭✭IRISHSPORTSGUY

Could the FAI even afford to sack Trap?

Just seen it, Ward clumsy as hell then far too much space for the Kazak to meet the ball with. Terrible stuff, Bill.

That was poor, but we will see the same crap over and over again. Need a new mind and new players to come in. Whelan forthe chop first.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,591 ✭✭✭patmac

Ok Unpatriotically I backed Khazak stan at 6.2/1 and Khazak ht Ireland ft at 41/1 so 1-1 it is then. 1-1 would be a bad result as it would mean Trapp will be delighted with the draw and survive where as if we lose he might resign. If we sack him do we have to pay him off?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,801 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

I still think we will score once here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭brianregan09

the thing is , Cyprus would be a better team than Kazahkstan, we've gotten progessivly worse in every campaign....sad to say even though better players emerged in those 4 years,

    ****in disgraceful stuff

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

I think the FAI would have to get a loan off the IMF to sort that mess out

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,276 ✭✭✭IRISHSPORTSGUY

Can't believe we're getting outplayed by a team that doesn't have replays :pac:

It's a shame Dunphy isn't on today. The other lads aren't as entertaining without his over the top statements :(

Agreed, half the team play like school children, aren't up to the job and cannot strike the ball straight and seem to be afraid to take shots, keep passing the buck. :D
