Fringes for roundish face

Has anyone with a roundish face got a straight across fringe? How did it turn out? I really want one as I love the style but I'm paranoid that my face is a bit round for it. My face isn't hugely round - my BF insists it's oval - but I do have quite big cheeks and my forehead isn't that big, so I'm afraid that a full fringe might be too much. I've asked a few hairdressers and most say it would look fine but a couple have agreed with me about my face being a bit round. Is there any particular way it could be cut so that roundness is minimised?

I used to have a much rounder face than I have now, when I lost a bit of weight I got a full fringe cut in. My face is by no means really skinny now, if I was to describe it I would still say it was round but the fringe has suited it, I'm ready for a change now so I'm going changing to a side fringe now again

Side fringe suits me but this one time i got a full fringe cut in and i have a round face. I showed before and after pictures to a polish hairdresser I used to work with and she asked me if me with a fringe was my mother.

So in short, no. They dont suit. Go with a side fringe.
