what resolution do you game at? Both roughly perform on par (if I am looking at the comparison correctly :p) however the 7870 is a next generation card which has better power consumption, lower heat, etc and its performance should improve over time with subsequent driver updates.

Also, you can get the 7870 at cheaper prices than that! Have a look on the likes of dabs, hardwareversand and computeruniverse.net

Thanks guys, I was pretty set on the upgrade to the 7870, but I'll check out the 7850 on that recommendation!

The only thing that was swaying me towards the 570GTX was the beautiful beautiful physX stuff in Borderlands 2 and the Batman games. :o

Almost forgot this. At the minute, just 1440x900, highest the monitor will support. (Monitor upgrade some stage early next year methinks!)

With that resolution, I'd be looking at the GTX 550 that's due for release on the 12th or something. That's assuming it actually turns out good.

That 7870 is expensive if you are going down the line of higher GPU power, if you're upgrading your monitor sooner rather than later.
    This one is €40 cheaper.

In fact, you could buy this one, pay the €19 shipping cost and it would still be the most of €60 cheaper than the original.

If you don't mind paying way more than you should, yes, PC World can sort you out.

Even though Im a total nVidia fanboy, all that PhysX stuff aint no thang IMO. Sure its nice but you dont even notice it much. Its better in Batman then B2 anyways.
