Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Blue collar crime albeit as serious is in a different bracket,Protection rackets usually come in the form of an extortion scheme whereby a criminal group or individual coerces a victim (usually a business) to pay money, supposedly for protection services against violence or property damage.
Also known as "insurance" which is carried out by criminal organisations called "banks".

There is certain areas in the UK what do this. The UK Police have no control anymore and when they do come out to an Assault, Robbery etc they always say no witness no case or another line they come out with is 'Its a Civil Matter' People in affluent areas are quite happy to pay for protection. Besides most of the Cop's are fat and lazy.

I heard through the grapevine that runs through the River Tolka that it's some sort of protection money racket going on. I thought it changed owners and the new guy didn't want to be dealing with all the messing the old guy had put up with (through choice or loyalty?) and hence got the place burned down.

I thought it would have been reopened by this stage.

I wonder if this wild speculation will be allowed for much longer?

I also heard that the Sunset House is a gay bar. Might head in there some fine evening and ask some of the gentlemen there perhaps.

I somehow doubt NIB will come round and burn your house down though if you miss a payment. :p

    Prostitution, counterfeit goods, diesel laundering.....

While I was referring more to the Republic, prostitution seems to be more lone wolf escort is not ?. Diesel laundering ? Again I thought that was more a border issue up north as opposed what happens down south.

Are the fine denizens of Moore Street, Jervis selling bags and "strrawberrdies" etc really that professional or organized counterfeiting rackets compared to elsewhere ? I think drugs are lot more organized here.
