Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Actually my neighbour's flat went on fire there about 2 years ago and ours was very likely to be burnt down with it, so myself and my then housemate had to get out. Surprised that I grabbed absolutely nothing whatsoever. Left the house shoeless, coatless and braless, so had to stand on the street in the middle of Winter literally freezing my tits off thinking to myself what a fooking idiot I was that I didn't even take my handbag.

Luckily flat only got smoke damage so all was well. What would I have done!

I'd grab the wife and put her back in there!

    Misleading thread title..

I was wondering what you were doing online at such a crucial moment

I would grab one of the two fire extinguishers we have and be proactive about things. I'd hate to lose all my books.

I rent an apartment, there's nothing much of value. The most expensive things are the two computers, but only €800. There's a bike worth €1200, but it's on the balcony so no big deal.

    Conclusion: Nothing except my girlfriend.

    The cat.

Then I would race outside and kick myself repeatedly for reducing my house insurance.

He probably has back-ups of them.

And hopefully a back-up of the wife from quite a few years ago.

    Once my family were safe.
    Photos, handbag, car keys.

Everything else can burn away. F*k it. Thats what home insurance is for.
