i am a qualified plumber/welder but have not worked at my trade 'officially' in 5-6 yrs, would this and the fact that i don't have much savings be a major stumbling block in getting admission to Canada?Calgary sounds like the place to be going.

London is the size of Cork (population wise) but has the nightlife of a town the size of Letterkenny.
One strip of bars & clubs for students and thats about it...nothing compared to toronto or montreal.

Carling & Labbats beer were first brewed here (The brewery open & running).

Hehe I am thick and will have to Google! But Cork is a reasonable size (assuming you mean Cork in it's entirety and not Cork city!). I am guessing Letterkenny is smallish? Couldn't be smaller than bog end Wicklow!

    To put it in numbers..

London has a population of 300,000, but only one strip of maybe 12-15 bars & clubs that I would consider nightlife - like a main street on a normal irish town.

Based on the location I am guessing Mining and mine construction.
Probably Coal but also could be potash ?

I assume Toronto is the spot for jobs in the financial services industry?
What would be the best job web site to find jobs in this area?

    thanks

Some do, but it's an insult and it's an insult for a "mainlander" to use the term. I'm a Newfoundlander and find it offensive - as do most of my friends/family.
