    hi,
i'm looking into getting some reasonably priced tablets for our schools computer room but don't really know where to start! would about €70 be a reasonable price to pay?? if anyone knows of an offer or if you can recommend a good one for education i'd appreciate it.

If your buying a few of them you will prob have to buy within the EU to avoid the need for duty/taxes to be paid
Most are shipped from China, so a UK seller on ebay may be a good choice.

    A few threads worth reviewing:

You can buy the Eken w70, which is good for schools, because you can install windows 8, android and Linux on it.

I don't know if there is a European retailer for them though.

EDIT: - they may get them back in stock here, but i don't know their price. http://www.futeko.com/products/TAB024.php

They come with windows 8 and Android 4.04 installed already.

This video says it's the A70, but it's not.

They can be bought for around €59 each. If you are buying in bulk, obviously cheaper.

You can submit a price request from eken themselves - HERE

If it doesn't cost too much extra, i'd go for the extra 1GB version with at least 8GB storage. (Called the Eken w70pro)

Curious to find out how students/teachers will use them? Seems like your school is on the ball technology wise.
