Tips for buying a 2002-2005 L322 Range Rover?

I'm looking at getting a second hand 3rd gen L322 Range Rover, something decent for around the €10-15k mark.

So far, from what I've read through searching through the forum, what I'm looking for is:

a Vogue (for the bit of extra comfort & gadgets)
A TD6 Diesel for half decent enough performance without the gas guzzling of the petrols model which i've read gives mpg in the low teens.
keep an eye out for the air bag suspension to make sure it sits level with the engine off.

anything else i should look at? am i on the right track?

how reliable are they as far as mileage goes? most of the ones i've seen have done over 100k, but is it likely to serve me well for another 100k+ or will it fall over when it hits 120k miles, or something like that?

i've currently got a 2.8L 1996 Pajero which i might trade in if there's a decent one at a dealer somewhere.

the plan is to possibly get it in the UK and bring it here for a while and then maybe bring it to Australia as we're looking at emigrating to Oz sometime next year and the price of half a container for all our stuff, versus a whole container for all our stuff plus a car, compared to the cost of buying something half decent over there, will make it worth our while to bring it.

when i got the pajero, i bought t in the UK from a private seller off ebay and used www.car-checkers.co.uk to inspect it before i went over and got a very detailed 16 page report of every little thing about the car and any potential issues which i was very happy with, so i'll probably do the same again as i have been very happy with the pajero.

thanks in advance for any help. :)

Oooh nice, I'd like one but it ain't going to happen! Far nicer than the Sport.

Best to look for a decent spec one in the UK, more likely to have a decent service history too. Don't enough about them myself but have a gander at the full fat forum http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/

I have one for nearly a year now, 130,000 miles on it, needed a air suspension pump but knew that when I bought it.
Mine had the box done about 20k before I bought it and its be perfect. A landrover specialist I spoke to said that if you have no evidence of gearbox work by 120k that you could change the torque converter as this is what generally kills the box.
Other than that it has behaved perfectly but be under no illusions the td6 is thirsty averaging 25mpg out of our s with a mix of driving.
Not sure on buying in the uk the prices over there seem strong in comparison to the Irish market at the moment.

i got all sensible in the end and got myself a newer Paj (well, shoggie) in the end.

Just going to pick her up this weekend. she's a current model 2007 Elegance.

she's got 100k on her, but comes with a full main dealer service history (and one owner) in almost perfect nick for almost half what i'd have paid for it here and with all the toys i'd get on a FF RR but for several thousand less than I'd have paid for the same year of RR, so it's hard to complain really. :)

the colour reproduction in the pic isn't great, but it's a kind of midnight (almost inky) blue. all the others i could find were silver and i didn't fancy that, everyone has a silver one. :)

flying over tomorrow and driving back on sunday after visiting family for the weekend and i can't wait! :D
