    Lads,

You're not allowed start the season over the cap. The game may allow it but we won't.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,751 ✭✭✭Raoul

I will be looking to trade an RB (any but Sproles), I most likely will want another WR or perhaps a couple of other positions, cant get a proper look until next Sunday but anyone that wants a good RB get onto me.

Alright my biggest need is RT (or a general OL who specialises in run blocking), and I'd like to trade away Greg Olsen for one. I could also trade Mike Tolbert, or maybe Jonathan Stewart.

can you afford that ? whats the bonus on there contracts ? and how long are there contracts? I doubt you can afford to trade any of your running backs for the main reason that they've all recently signed new contracts and it would damage your cap badly in year 1 and 2.

Well in my Panthers offline franchise I have 11 million cap room after simming the preseason. That's a bit to play around with, and I don't plan on changing the defense at all either (shock horror I am in love with the front 7 someone other than me built). I can afford to take the hit on 1 or 2 offensive players. From what I've seen Stewart would cost me 1.8 in year 1 and 2.

you only have 5 million in update... Dont get me wrong you may be able to cut 2 or 3 million before start of season.. But dont be trading to many players. Otherwise end of season 2 will come and you'll have to let your starting OLB or LG go because your over cap...

I dont want you to have any excuses for why your not going to make the play offs

You know what? That sounds like the sort of thing Al Davis might do. Jerry Richardson on the other hand, what a decent respectable chap. American hero one might say.

    Not really!

You will have bit part players on the last year or their deal, you will have to replace them but some of them might have stupid deals. I'm doing a CC offline as the Rams, I noticed Quentin Mikell was on the last year of his deal and was on $7m for that season!! I cut him and re signed him to a $2m deal. Handy $5m right there.

Yeah the trading and keeping players is going to be key.

Michael Griffin got a 5 mil a year deal, I offered him 7 million a year.. he didnt take it and went off to fA!

Going to be interesting to be honest!

Are teams going to set up trade block threads? Or maybe have one thread per division?

Can people put players on the trade block in the game. Then we all can see who is on the block in MY ACTIONS.

Berty can you check out players for trade on CC on the website?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,514 ✭✭✭BigBadRob83

Did an actual trade go through?
Thought I saw a tweet in the game about the Pats picking up Trufant from Hawks

You can yes. Say for example you want to see if there are any WR available to trade go to your team and you can then see all the WR available via free agency / trade etc.

We really need everyone to put the players they have for trade actually on the block either on Xbox or website.

I saw this on the maddencareer site. I have a notification in saying
    Trade accepted: Seahawks.
    Nice doing business with you.

It's certainly news to me, I have picked up nobody nor have I initiated any trades.

He is appearing on my team though..

I'd say the two CPU teams did the trade before anyone took over the Seahawks or Patriots.
Probably something for Santry and Raoul to have a look at

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

That's weird considering I haven't advanced the week yet, I'm away so can't look into it now. Could you trade him back to the Hawks for a crappy player just to fix the balance?

  • Registered Users Posts: 258 ✭✭HeartOfTheCity

Reggie Bush HB Ovr. 92 available for CB Ovr. 84+ and HB Ovr. 82+, as in I'd want both a CB and HB in return.

Obviously, check your cap space. I'll add Bush to the trade block when I'm home.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,395 ✭✭✭davetherave

Just on the xbox now so I can see this. The seahawks got my 4th round this year and 6th and 7th round pick next year and I got Marcus Trufant.

Should I just send the reverse trade back to EliManning? Can't particularly say I want Trufant nor do I want to lose 3 picks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,786 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

Have an 80 overall LE on the block, am looking for a similarly rated corner but I'm open to offers.

Also would be willing to part with one of my mid 80s DT for a strong corner.

Retrading won't. The 1st trade would have counted trufants owed bonus against the Seahawks cap. I doubt Trufant had much of a bonus anyways.
