    Hey guys,

Does anyone know what the crack is with wild camping with a camper on Inch strand in Kerry? There seems to be some conflicting info out there.

    Cheers

Call the restaurant there as they had plans to open a small cheap camp site up the hill, we wild camped there at Easter but the weather was appalling so nobody was out enforcing the rules. The owner was very friendly - oh and the food there is savage! Happy days

If all else fails, just along the L103 (towards Castlemaine) there's a lovely little pub on the left with parking on the right. Good food and if you work it right good music.

I've had a couple of visits to there. No problem with overnight parking.

Stayed there last Friday night, didn't park on the beach due to high tides, parked outside the car park where there is space for a few vans. Just one other van there, a french one. Pub is good for a few pints, didn't dine there but it seems good for food .

Thanks for that. Is that just outside Sammys Stores?

Yes next to the entrance to the car park.

Stayed there a few times over the past few years and would recommend. Great stopoff on the way to Dingle. Nice safe place with a wild camping feel. If you're parking on the beach don't obscure the view of the lifegaurds during the day as they will ask you to move. If you drive along the strand be careful that you don't sink into soft sand ( I did long ago with a car and was lucky to escape ). Follow the tyre tracks and it should be ok.
Car park is fine but not level - bring the chocks. Pub is grand for a few pints and a carton of chips. Anything else Sammy's will have in the morning. Enjoy
