TV Show: Most definitely Arrested Development! Only watched it for the first time properly in August, and I now own the complete boxset, and have watched the entire series twice :P

As for a film, I don't know! So many great ones to choose from... I'll choose Titanic though :P Probably a bit lame, but I love it.

My interpretation of "best" implies "realistic" i.e. show the aliens that we understand just how doomed we are as a species, and that we have no-one to blame but ourselves. So:
