Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I just read that Ronan Keating sold 181 Albums (Both Physical AND download) and that placed him number 13 in the Irish Charts, how long has this been going on?
That someone could sell that small amount, and probably make airplay throughout the Country.. Presumably they (the radio stations) play the Top 20..?
Would he not be better off spending €2,000 and buying a heap of them himself? He'd surely get to number one straight away..

Could i do it? Would it be worth it?

How many Sales make number one here? 300?

Does anyone want to form a band, for some quick cash. It'll cost you a percentage of €2,000 depending on how many people are in our band...
If there are 5, then we pay €400 each, but we probably have a guaranteed number one.

I can record it in my car. I have a Fiat Punto, so the drummer will probably have to sit in the boot. (Sorry)

Also, if someone could suggest a Band name, it might make the process quicker.

I'm in if the band is called Captain Retardo's Awesome Penis. The name can be shortened to C.R.A.P.

Quick record a song about Galway or Mayo before the All Ireland weekends. Those numpties would buy anything!

The chorus will be "Galway is faux suburban, Mayo is kind of there, I like Hob Nobs, something something fat chick called Claire."

I'm in. We can cover a Boyzone song.

    EDIT:

I mean, i'm hip with that. That name could sell a million. Covering a Boyzone song would just be a bonus.. " i was once like you are now...":pac:

Numpties? Why are they numpties? Cause they follow GAA? Or cause they're from the West of Ireland?

    Do tell.

Is that really all you have to worry about?

Because kids there flocked to download a 30 second clip of Ga-Ga-Ga-Galway from an old tv ad. Galway Girl is played by every sh!t cover band in the place. Every pub has the song July by Mundy played at least twice a night during the festival months.

To Win Just Once is usually the one for Galway. I saw it's high in the iTunes chart along with The Green and Red of Mayo.

I lived there most of my life :)

    Hence the :pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac:

I'm not 100%, but i don't think BZ (as they're called now) ever had an original song..

I could be wrong, but i don't care.

I am completely serious about this. I say AH makes a band.

Especially if we have to sell F**K all.. Post it in bargain alerts.. (Eagerly hoping nobody minds the 20c price tag)
We'll have a number one in no time.. :D:D:D

All the radio stations will have to play C.R.A.P..

    Or S.H.I.T..

    etc..

I will play ukulele and the lamp.

We should have that Rihananana sing it and David Gwettah produce it. All we need now is another song to plagurise and we're laughin'

    I can play guitar.
