Don't get ours till three. A whole day of waiting nervously.

At the end of the day, still another 2-3 years to prepare for the real deal.

Good luck to you all today! :o

I was just about to post a thread then I noticed this stickied :')

We get ours at 3pm. Full day tomorrow. Day off Friday. Baha. It sucks we have to wait all day. I doubt many will be in tomorrow for some strange reason... Hm...

Oh - what are you getting for results? My friend is getting €25 per grade improved, and then I heard guys are getting €20 per A... Wow. I'm not getting anything for results. I didn't ask "Oh, give me €20 for every A I get" which is kinda cheeky. idk.

IceCreamGirl that's an excellent result :) please don't get upset :)

Oh and BTW it's €32 to get your results checked, I think. It's very costly but if you are that upset with the C's and B's, it mighnt hurt to get one or two subjects re checked.

Looking back on my results I think I should have got an A in geog. I know a few people who were disappointed with geography as well so we probably got a hard marker.

Would have liked an A but I don't want to make a fuss.

I got all A's except for Irish, in which I got a B, and I was doing all honours. Two girls in my year got 10 A's which is amazing! While getting the low-down on results I noticed that all the energetic and clever teacher's subjects got6 high success rates. I was all set for an A in Irish J.C by the end of 2nd year, having gone to Irish College twice but in 3rd year due to a simply awful string of unsuitable substitute Irish teachers I ended up with a B only due to my own study at home. In our Irish class fail rates were high and people are annoyed.

Also, speaking on a slightly different note, am I the only person who thinks the choice of languages in second level is awful? No Chinese or Indian... at least there's Japanese, but they're only in a handful of schools (not mine). We should really know more useful languages rather than messing around with Ancient Greek and Latin!

Fairly happy with mine anyways. Only one I'm annoyed about is French, was expecting an A. Otherwise:

    Irish - B. (Expected a C!)
English - A. (OVER THE MOON. I thought I'd messed up badly.)
Maths - B. (Really weak at maths, so was expecting a C.)
    History - A. (DELIGHTED!)
Geography - B. (Was kinda expecting an A, but apparently it was marked hard, so.)
French - B. (I'm an A-student and have been getting grinds, so fairly annoyed.)
    Typing - A.
    Business - B. (Happy as Larry, expecting a C!)
Woodwork - A. (WTF. Thought I'd failed that one!)
Science - B. (Kinda annoyed, wanted an A but put feck all work in, so. I get what I deserved.)
    CSPE - B. (Raaaagin lads.)
RE - A. (Not expecting that either.)

    So that's 12 honours, all at higher. 5 A's, 7 B's :D
