Northern Spain?

    Hi,

    Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for ferry and driving routes to North of Spain?

    Not sure whether to drive through France or go via UK to Santander?

    Have checked Camping Locations board but nothing there.

    Many many years ago, by car, I went Dover-Calais-Paris (Headache)-Orleans-Poitiers (Beautiful town well worth spending a day in)-Bordeaux (just for the wine)-Bilbao.
    Then I turned left for Barcelona.
    Had a great journey down without using motorways if you're in no hurry.

    Spent 3 days going down as the towns were worth stopping in, 24 hours driving back on motorways as I overstayed.
